Brother Timothy K. Johnson is a proud native of the Bronx, New York. He attended the August Martin High School in Jamaica, (Queens) New York where he began his studies in Computer Science and Mathematics. Graduating with honors, Tim received the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.

In 1990, Tim became an active member of the Shrewsbury Avenue A. M. E. Zion Church in Red Bank, NJ under the leadership of the late Reverend Andrew L. Foster, Jr.  There, he served as a member of the Steward Board and the Finance Ministry, including serving as the Chairman of the Finance Ministry. Under the leadership of Pastor, Reverend Theodore Calhoun, Sr., Tim lead the effort to consolidate and streamline the financial operations of the church including ministry account management, budgeting, tracking and reporting.  This effort resulted in streamlined and more effective Quarterly Conference reporting. Under the leadership of Reverend Milton A. Williams, Jr., he assisted with the building of an innovative new Technology and Finance Ministry Hardware and Software platform which led to his work throughout Zion on a Local, District, Conference, and Connectional Level.  His company, TENJ Technology and Financial Solutions, LLC designed the original YACM (Young Adults in Christian Ministries), Connectional Lay Council (CLC) and Christian Education Department’s websites.

The father of two sons, Tim is most proud of his work with the Young Lions—a mentoring and leadership development ministry for boys and young men.  Birthed under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Ronald P. McDougal, the Young Lions ministry focused on building Christian character, promoting education and helping young men understand and navigate a society that does not understand or value the lives of young men of color.  Tim sees a need of this type of ministry in and across our churches and throughout our communities.

Most recently, Bro. Tim was a member of the Trinity A. M. E. Zion Church (Washington, DC) under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Timothy Freeman.  While there, he was an active member of the Steward Board, Technology Ministry, Ad Hoc Finance and Audit Committee and the Media/AV Ministry, leading several key initiatives that have been devised and implemented over the past two years.

Tim considers himself blessed to be a part of the household of faith and desires to use what God has given him to bless the church that God might get the glory.

A proud Husband to the Rev. Alyce Roberta Walker Johnson, together, they share their lives with Elijah and Ephraim Johnson, Santele (Capt. Philip Jarad) Taylor and their sons, Jaiden, Tyler, and Cason as well as a large network of family, extended family and friends.
